CULTILIGHT PLANNING TOOL

Daily Light Integral (DLI) Calculator

Enter the average photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) and the number of light hours per day to calculate the resulting daily light integral.

Calculated Daily Light Integral

mol/m²/day

Enter your PPFD and light duration to calculate DLI.

How DLI Is Calculated

Daily light integral represents the total quantity of photosynthetically active light received over a 24-hour period.

DLI = PPFD × light hours × 3,600 ÷ 1,000,000

This calculator uses the average PPFD entered for the selected duration. That value may represent sunlight, electric lighting, or their combined contribution when the average PPFD has been measured or estimated accordingly.
